Located only 15 minutes by car from the centre of Brașov, the Triaj Dog Shelter provides shelter, food and loving care to stray dogs found in and around the city. Many of these dogs had been abandoned or neglected by their owners, or even injured during the time they have tried to defend themselves on the streets.
All the dogs brought to the shelter are vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, assessed and prepared for adoption. Injured animals receive veterinary treatment and the puppies receive special care. To ensure the animals’ welfare, there is a dedicated team of workers, veterinarians and animal care staff working on site every day of the week, including weekends.
In addition, AMP works in cooperation with Stupini Hall to provide regular food and veterinary treatment to the dogs held at the municipal pound. Whenever possible, we take out dogs from the pound to find them homes through the Triaj shelter rehoming programmes. Every year, AMP also runs sterilisation campaigns for owned and stray dogs ,in and around the city of Brasov. We also provide a 24-hour animal emergency response service for the local community.
Although we enjoy good cooperation with the local authorities, AMP does not receive any financial assistance from them. The Triaj Dog Shelter is funded entirely by private donations and sponsors; we especially thank our partners BMT(Bund gegen Missbrauch der Tiere -Germany) and the Brigitte Bardot Foundation (France) for their generous support.
All the dogs in our shelter are available for adoption.
